An Owner- trained Service Dog refers to a dog that was raised and trained in an in-need individual's home environment (as opposed to raised by a trainer) to become a Service Dog for their unique needs.
This can be a good option for a number of people in need of a service dog, but to approach it alone is extremely challenging, time-consuming, and overwhelming. There is SO MUCH information out there-- let us help you with:
1- Evaluating Potential Candidates and Selecting the RIGHT SD candidate for YOU from either a breeder or a rescue
2- Instructions/ Guidance about how to socialize your puppy correctly to maximize your long term chances of success
3- Individualized Basic and Advanced Obedience Training, Public Access Training, and Disability Task Training
4- Completion of AKC CGC, AKC CCGC, AKC UCGC, and PA Testing
5- Follow up/ Refresher Training and a Life-Long Support System
